Descendancy Ring Charts

The descendancy ring charts are simple to read once you understand their principle. They start in the center circle with an earliest known descendant for a given surname and then subsequent generations radiate out in concentric rings around the previous. The effect is like the rings on the inside of a tree. The first sapling year(s) are in the center and each subsequent year or generation appears as a larger ring around it. It's kind of a different take on the idea of "family tree." Each individual is represented by a numbered circle colored either pink or blue (obviously to indicate gender). Each number references a table line of information which is useful when working with printed hard copies. But I've made them easier to use on the web:

Use your mouse to hover over an individual, and their name and known vital years will pop up. Its an easy way to peruse the family and see exactly how everyone is connected. Then click on any individual to navigate to their page in the database which lists their parents, siblings, pedigree, ancestry chart, photos, media and whatever information is in my database.
